Parenting Note #736 – Answers

parenting note #736

The 7-year-old followed up this performance by taking at least two minutes to answer the question, “What’s 9 minus 7?”

Math isn’t her strongest subject, but she compounds the mistakes by just yelling out random numbers until she (hopefully) hits the correct answer.

Every time either of the kids gets an answer wrong that a child their age should know, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The past year of schooling has been unlike any school year ever, and, honestly, I’m not even sure what a 10-year-old and 7-year-old should and shouldn’t have a firm grasp on anymore.

I’m 43 and don’t know everything I should know.

The one thing I do know is that you always get the chicken strips with a side of barbeque sauce.

This is a fact.
