A few years ago, I compiled a list of the best parenting websites every mom and dad should check regularly.
The list included personal parenting blogs, websites run by major media companies, and a few obscure parenting that I personally enjoyed reading.
For a substantial amount of time, that article listing the best parenting websites was easily the most popular article on this website.
I tried to update the article every few months. After a while, the article became more difficult to update.
Due to the unfortunate nature of publishing – and life – many of the websites shuddered, were swallowed up by other larger websites, or just stopped updating altogether.
Since you can only repair a sinking ship so many times, I decided to start from scratch and compile a brand new list of the best parenting websites every parent should check out regularly.
What Makes A Good Parenting Website?
Before jumping into the list of the best parenting websites of 2022, we should discuss the intangibles that make for a good parenting website.
In my opinion, these are some of the must-have factors that make a website good for all parents in a quick, bulleted list.
1. The website offers different voices – Not every parent is the same. Not every kid is the same. Not every family is the same.
2. A website for parents that updates regularly. A few times a week is good. A few times a day is fantastic.
3. A strong of short and long-form pieces on the parenting website.
4. The parenting website gives advice but it’s preachy
5. The tone isn’t judgmental. Again, not every parent, kid, and family is the same.
6. The website mixes serious topics with a little humor.
A parenting website that can hit at least four or more of those points gets my attention and eyeballs on a regular basis.
